The York Fun Club accepts a WAITING LIST for all performances and trips marked as SOLD OUT.

Our bus parking site is Lichti’s TV, Appliance & Furniture Store parking lot at 220 East Nobes in York.

2019 Events

Thurs., June 6 – “Love Rides the Rails” melodrama by the Goehner Centennial Players at Olde Glory Theatre in Seward.  $67 with prime rib dinner.  Motorcoach departs at 5:20 p.m. 

Thurs., June 13 – Sat., June 15 – Mystery Trip.  Three fun-filled days!  Where will we go?  North, south, east or west?  (Seven meals: 2 B, 3 L, 2D).  $389 pp/dbl.  Single room is higher.  Sold Out.  Waiting List available.

Wed., June 19 – Travel Show featuring the June 2020 “Iceland Explorer” tour at 1:30 p.m. at the Chances R Beer Garden.  And a review of the December 2019 “European Christmas Cruise on the Rhine River” at approximately 2:10 p.m.   No cost but reservations are required.  Call the Fun Club at 402-745-6477 weekday mornings to register.  NEW!

Thurs., June 20 – Horseshoe Casino at Council Bluffs.  $30.  Complimentary lunch buffet for those who have pre-registered.  Bus departs at 8:30 a.m. 

Wed., July 17 – Fun Club Day in Brownville including the “Comedy of Tenors” at the Village Theatre, lunch at the Lyceum, wine tasting at Whiskey Run Creek Winery, dinner and cruise on the ‘Spirit of Brownville’ and more…  Bus departs at 8 a.m.  $108 inclusive.  NEW!

Mon., Aug. 26 – “The Drifters,” “Cornell Gunther’s Coasters” and the “Platters” at Older Nebraskans Day at the State Fair.  Their hits include “Up on the Roof,” “Yakety Yak” and “The Great Pretender.”  $42 w/ transportation, gate fee and show.  Meal is on-your-own.  Bus departs York at 8:30 a.m. and departs State Fair at 5 p.m.  

Sun., Sept. 15 – Sat., Sept. 21, 2019 – “Cape Cod & the Islands” – enjoy pristine beaches, colorful harbors, picturesque lighthouses, stately homes at Martha’s Vineyard; magnificent rocky coast at Newport.  See the Kennedy Compound at Hyannis Port; tour historic sites of Boston and more.  $2,499/person double room occupancy w/discount; single room extra.  Brochure available.  Sold Out.

Sun., Nov. 3 – “The Phantom of the Opera” matinee performance at the Lied Center in Lincoln. This is Broadway’s longest running show ever and the music is incredible.  Approx. $149 w/lunch.  Departure time to be announced.  

Mon., Nov. 11 – Fri., Nov. 15 – “Christmas in Branson” – Seven great shows:  Daniel O’Donnell, the Duttons, Oakridge Boys, Yakov Smirnoff, the Presleys, Irish Tenors & Celtic Ladies, George Dyer.  Silver Dollar City light parade and shows.  (Eight meals: 4B, 4D).  $859 pp/dbl.  Brochure available.

Sun., Jan. 19, 2020 -“Bandstand – the Musical” matinee at Lincoln’s Lied Center features fantastic Big Band music and incredible dancing.  Approx. $119 w/lunch.  Departure time to be announced.  NEW!

Sun., Feb. 2, 2020 – “Blue Man Group” matinee at the Lincoln Lied Center.  Three bald and blue men will entertain as we discover music, comedy and surprises at every turn.  Approx. $109 per person with lunch.  Departure time to be announced.  NEW!

Thurs., April 23, 2020 – “Beautiful” at the Lied Center tells the story of Carole King’s rise to stardom.  Features her beloved songs “I Feel the Earth Move,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” etc.  Approx. $119 per person w/dinner.  Departure time to be announced.  NEW!

Looking ahead to 2020:  The Fun Club is considering an October 2020 cruise on the Seine River in France to include Paris and Normandy.   Let us know if you’re interested in this destination.  More details will be announced later.
