Special Note to Travelers:  The coronavirus has hit the travel and entertainment industry hard.  Right now there are a lot of unknowns and more questions than answers.  Please be assured that our travelers’ health and safety are of utmost importance to us.  Below is information on some of our scheduled activities that have been affected by the virus.

2020 – 2021 Events

Thurs., April 23 – “Beautiful” – the Broadway show at the Lied Center tells the story of Carole King’s rise to stardom. – The Lied has rescheduled this show for next year, Thurs., 5/13/21.  Please see information below.

Tues., April 28 – Fri., May 1 – Mystery Tour.  This tour has been postponed indefinitely.  Those registered have been refunded but will have first opportunity to re-book when and if the tour is rescheduled.  

Tues., May 12 – Travel Show at 1:30 p.m. at Chances R Beer Garden.  We had planned to feature two 2021 Fun Club destinations including:  “Great Trains and Grand Canyons” scheduled for February 2021 and also “England, Scotland & Wales” scheduled for October 2021. The travel show has been postponed indefinitely until later in the year.   We hope to have the brochures featuring these 2021 tours available on the TRIPS page of this website soon.

Tues., May 12 – Iceland Pre-trip Document Meeting for those registered for the Iceland Explorer tour.  The pre-trip document meeting has been indefinitely postponed until a date closer to the new September travel dates.

Thurs., May 14 – Horseshoe Casino at Council Bluffs.  $30.  Both Harrahs and Horseshoe have been closed and we have cancelled this casino date.  Currently, no further casino dates have been scheduled.   

Sun., May 31 – “Life with Father” comedy at the Lofte Theatre in Manley.  The show has been indefinitely postponed.  More information later.

Wed., June 3 – Tues., June 9 “Iceland Explorer” –  Those registered have been contacted with options of moving their reservation to the September 16, 2020, departure or cancelling and receiving a credit or refund.  

Wed., June 17 – “The Lettermen”  at the Merryman Center in Kearney.  Enjoy the soft, romantic harmony of this popular 60’s group.  $89 w/ lunch.   This show was rescheduled from the original March 24 concert date and has been indefinitely postponed at this time.  Those registered will be contacted when a new date has been set.  

Thurs., July 16 – Mon., July 27 – “Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Glacier National Parks” – The tour has been postponed until summer 2021.  Those registered will receive first opportunity to re-book when new arrangements can be made.  The price may be slightly higher due to normal inflation.  A new brochure will be available later.   

Wed. & Thurs., Sept 9 & 10 – “Nebraska City: Red to the Core” includes Arbor Lodge Mansion, Kregel Windmill Factory Museum, Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard, Arbor Day Farm, Lewis and Clark Center, etc.  Cost is $349 per person with double room occupancy; a single room is $421.  Includes one-night lodging at the Lied Lodge, all admissions and all meals.  Ask for the brochure.  

Wed., Sept. 16 – Tues., Sept. 22 – rescheduled dates for “Iceland Explorer” – Highlights include five nights in one hotel, Reykjavik city tour, the Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle Tour, Skogafoss Waterfall, Strokkur Geyser, Whale Watch Cruise, etc. $3,995 per person double room with booking discount.  Single room is higher.  A revised brochure will be available soon.

Tues., Oct. 20 – Wed., Oct. 28 – “Normandy, Paris & the Seine River Cruise” – Seven nights aboard the Amadeus Diamond cruise ship.  See the beloved Paris landmarks on the city tour; experience  D-Day history at Normandy; visit quaint villages and magnificent cathedrals; enjoy the picturesque sites which were favorites of the Impressionist masters.  $4,495 to $6,095 pp/dbl w/discount & cabin choice.  Ask for the brochure.  

Mon., Nov. 30 – Fri., Dec. 4 – “Christmas in Branson” – Five days and nine fabulous shows including “Noah” at the Sight and Sound Theatre, dinner cruise and show on the Branson Belle, and Fun Club favorites “The Duttons”  and “Clay Cooper’s Country Express” plus so much more!  $859 per person with double room occupancy; single room  $1,070 per person. Sun., Feb. 21 – Fri., Feb. 26, 2021 – “Great Trains and Grand Canyons” – Six days in the picturesque Sedona AZ area, Oak Creek Canyon, Grand Canyon train ride, Verde Canyon train and more.  Brochure and details later.

Thurs., May 13, 2021 – “Beautiful” rescheduled musical at the Lied Center tells the story of gifted songwriter, Carole King.  The show includes two dozen pop hits she wrote for artists like the Shirelles, Bobby Vee, the Everly Brothers, Steve Lawrence, the Chiffons, Herman’s Hermits, Aretha Franklin, James Taylor and others.    Approx. $119 w/dinner.  Bus departs at 4 p.m.   This show is re-scheduled from 4/23/20.

Thurs., July 15 – Mon., July 26, 2021 – “Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Glacier National Parks” – 12 day motorcoach tour.  Enjoy the steaming geysers, thundering waterfalls and bubbling mud pots of Yellowstone; ride the world-famous Red Jammer Buses on the spectacular “Going to the Sun” road in Glacier National Park; relax on a scenic Snake River float ride through the majestic Grand Tetons.   This trip is rescheduled from July 2020.  More information on 2021 pricing will be available after new arrangements have been made.  Those registered for the 2020 trip will be given first opportunity to re-book the tour.   

Mon., Oct. 11 – Wed., Oct. 20, 2021 – “England, Scotland & Wales” – Ten days to enjoy the highlights of the United Kingdom including London, York and York Minster, Edinburgh and more.  Brochure and details later.
