The York Fun Club accepts a WAITING LIST for all performances and trips marked as SOLD OUT.

Our bus parking site is Lichti’s TV, Appliance & Furniture Store parking lot at 220 East Nobes in York.

2019 Events

 

Sun., Aug. 11 – “Pump Boys & Dinettes” musical comedy at the T.A.D.A. Theatre in Lincoln. The pump boys work at a gas station and are known to celebrate life’s simple pleasures like fishing, beer and good music.  The Cupp Sisters serve pie and coffee and dish out a few tunes of their own at the diner$79 w/transportation, show and lunch at Screamers Dining and Cabaret.  Bus departs at 10:30 a.m.  

Thurs., Aug. 15 – Horseshoe Casino at Council Bluffs.  $30.  Included lunch if pre-registered.  Bus departs at 8:30 a.m.

Mon., Aug. 26 – “The Drifters,” “Cornell Gunther’s Coasters” and the “Platters” at Older Nebraskans Day at the State Fair.  Their hits include “Up on the Roof,” “Yakety Yak” and “The Great Pretender.”  $42 w/ transportation, gate fee and show.  Meal is on-your-own.  Bus departs York at 8:30 a.m. and departs State Fair at 5 p.m.  

Wed., Aug. 28 – Travel shows at Chances R.  1:15 p.m. show will feature “Normandy, Paris and the Seine River Cruise.”  This will be followed at approximately 1:55 p.m. by a review of the “Iceland Explorer” tour.  Both travel shows are free but reservations are required.  Please call 402-745-6477 to register.   NEW!

Wed., Aug. 28 – Cape Cod document briefing for those registered for the Cape Cod tour in September.  3:30 p.m. at Chances R Beer Garden.  Please RSVP at 402-745-6477.  

Sun., Sept. 8 – “Ring of Fire” featuring Johnny Cash’s life and songs at Lincoln Community Playhouse.  $76 with lunch at Valentino’s Grand Buffet.  Bus departs at 10:20 a.m.

Sun., Oct. 6 – “In the Mood” at the Lincoln Lied Center.  Hear all your Big Band favorites with the ‘String of Pearls Orchestra.’  $85 with lunch. Bus departs at 10:40 a.m.   NEW!

Sun., Oct. 13 – “The Texas Tenors” will bring a unique blend of country, gospel, classical and Broadway tunes to the Lied Center stage in Lincoln.  $92 w/dinner after the 4 p.m. show.  Bus departs at 2:20 p.m.  NEW!

Sun., Nov. 3 – “The Phantom of the Opera” matinee performance at the Lied Center in Lincoln. This is Broadway’s longest running show ever and the music is incredible.  Bus departs at 10:15 a.m.  $143 w/lunch.  

Mon., Nov. 11 – Fri., Nov. 15 – “Christmas in Branson” – Seven great shows:  Daniel O’Donnell, the Duttons, Oakridge Boys, Yakov Smirnoff, the Presleys, Irish Tenors & Celtic Ladies, George Dyer.  Silver Dollar City light parade and shows.  (Eight meals: 4B, 4D).  $859 pp/dbl.  Brochure available.

Thurs., April 23, 2020 – “Beautiful” – the Broadway show at the Lied Center tells the story of Carole King’s rise to stardom.  Features her beloved songs “I Feel the Earth Move,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” etc.  Bus departs at 4 p.m.  Approx. $119 per person w/dinner.
